Rousseau Memorial Service Scheduled for Monday

BATAVIA, IL (November 8, 2001) - A memorial service will be held at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Batavia at 1:30 p.m. Monday for Thomas Rousseau, a Covenant pastor who died Tuesday. Pastor Mark A. Nilson will officiate.

Family members will have private services Friday night with a Saturday morning internment.

Rousseau began working this spring as marketing director for the Holmstad retirement community after serving two years as pastor of Redeemer Covenant Church of Cary, North Carolina. He previously served the Evangelical Covenant Church in Hudson, Ohio.

A special memorial service was held Wednesday for Holmstad staff and residents. Southeast Conference Supt. Kurt Miericke requests prayer for Rousseau's wife, Karen, and three children, as well as Redeemer Covenant Church in the Southeast Conference, where Rousseau served before resigning last December.
