Jesus, Judaism and Women to Begin Zarley Series

CHICAGO, IL (October 26, 2001) - Amy-Jill Levine of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, will present her lecture on Jesus, Judaism and Women to begin the second annual Kermit Zarley Lecture Series at North Park University.

Levine's lecture will be presented at 3 p.m. November 12 in Anderson Chapel. She also will speak on Next Steps in Jewish-Christian Relations at 3 p.m. the following day, November 13. Both lectures are free and open to the public.

Levine is the E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Professor of New Testament Studies and director of the Carpenter Program in Religion, Gender and Sexuality at Vanderbilt's Divinity School.

The Kermit Zarley Lecture Series is supported by Professional Golfers Association Senior Tour player Kermit Zarley, who is a friend of Scot McKnight, the Karl A. Olsson Professor in Religious Studies at North Park University.
