Nearly 300 Join in Dedication of Turlock Facility
TURLOCK, CA (October 19, 2001) - The grand opening of the new building at Cornerstone Covenant Church in Turlock was a big success this past Sunday (October 14) as 296 attended the morning worship service.
Pastor Brad Boydston reported that the congregation was averaging 160 in a junior high building they had previously used for worship. The congregation has used the building for four services, according to Boydston, who added that a lunch was served following the service in the new facility.
"A few of our visitors came from other churches, but lots are new to the area and/or have been 'spiritually inactive' for a long time," he said.
Cornerstone Covenant will host a School of Evangelism next weekend. Pastor/artist Randy Klassen and his wife, Joyce, will come to Turlock the following weekend for a "Gospel in Color" presentation. Cornerstone Covenant was started in 1994 and the congregation broke ground on its
new 14,000-square-foot multi-purpose building last October. National Covenant Properties participated in funding for the project, which was constructed on a seven-acre site.
