Seeking Applications for Church Planting Assistant

CHICAGO, IL (September 25, 2001) - Applications are being accepted for a full-time position as assistant to the Church Planting Group in the Department of Church Growth and Evangelism of the Evangelical Covenant Church.

This position manages events and provides administrative support to the three-member church planting team, which includes the director of church planting, the associate director for church planting and congregation development, and the projects manager for the Churches Planting Churches initiative.

Responsibilities include information management, reports, correspondence, scheduling and general word processing activities. Event management includes Assessment Center preparation and arrangements for a variety of activities, including training.

The successful candidate will reflect a deep commitment to Christ, possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong writing and word processing skills and good organizational and multi-tasking skills. The candidate should be familiar with Word and Excel/or Quattro Pro software. Familiarity with PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook software is desired. Approximately 20-25 days of travel are required each year.
