Midwest City (OK) Church Conducts Chartering Service

MIDWEST CITY, OK (September 24, 2001) - Cornerstone Covenant Church was officially chartered during a recent worship service with 101 individuals in attendance, according to administrative assistant Carrol Jackson.

Cornerstone Covenant began with meetings at the home of pastor Randy Pratt in the summer of 1998. The congregation relocated to a school and a community center before moving into its present building, a warehouse that was renovated into a multipurpose facility. Worship attendance currently averages about 75 people.

The church is located in the suburbs of Oklahoma City, near Tinker Air Force Base. The congregation has doubled in size since moving into its present building in August 2000. The official grand opening for the church is scheduled for October 7.
