Openings Remain in Fall Seminary Class Schedule
CHICAGO, IL (August 11, 2001) - More online courses, new ministry certificates and a Doctor of Ministry in Preaching degree are among the options for those inside and outside the church at North Park Theological Seminary (NPTS) this year. There is still time to enroll in fall classes, said Mark Washington, director of seminary admissions, with a handful of courses designed for students desiring graduate level education with no interest in seeking a degree. Ministry certificates are now available in Christian education and formation, faith and health, Christian spirituality and leadership and administration (13 hours needed for each program), as well as urban ministry (17 hours).
Online courses for the fall cost $340 per semester hour of credit, or $100 per semester hour to audit. They include:
- Christian Tradition and Mission
- Retreat Ministry
- Reflections on Health Ministry
- Small Group Ministry
The seminary is offering two types of open house experiences this fall. One-day options are available September 6, October 29, November 8 and November 26. A more extensive open house entitled "Exploring Ministry Pathways" will be offered the weekends of September 16-17 and October 12-13.
