Connecticut Church Plans New Educational Facility

THOMASTON, CT (July 11, 2001) - One year after a fire damaged the former parsonage of The Covenant Church of Thomaston, plans are under way for construction of a building that will serve as a Christian education facility, according to pastor Tim Olsen.

Construction bids have been solicited for the new facility, which will contain approximately 6,000 square feet of space. Plans for a groundbreaking are pending.

The Covenant Church of Thomaston has been in existence since 1890 and is a member congregation of the East Coast Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church. For more information about the church and its construction plans, contact Olsen at 860-283-9146.
