LabOra Workshop Added to Annual Meeting Lineup
CHICAGO, IL (June 21, 2001) - A special informational workshop on the Covenant LabOra worship software program has been added to the lineup of events preceding the official start of the 116th Annual Meeting of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
The informational workshop will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, in the Love A room at the Holiday Inn O'Hare International, site of this year's meeting. The workshop will be conducted by Doug Vetvick, director of The Worship Center at Covenant Bible College-Colorado and a member of the Book of Worship Revision Commission who has worked closely with the developer of the software on behalf of the denomination.
LabOra is a comprehensive program designed to aid in the planning of worship services. It contains all of the material from the current Covenant Book of Worship, as well as some of the unpublished resources that are to appear in the revised Covenant Book of Workshop scheduled for release next year. Other resources include the complete Covenant Hymnal: A Worshipbook, with word and topic search capabilities.
The program guides users through development of a worship service, using templates and the familiar drag-and-drop technology to produce professionally finished bulletins suitable for reproduction. PowerPoint capability is included, along with sermon preparation packages and cue sheets for worship participants. The King James Version of the bible is included as the basic search tool, but users also receive another version of choice as part of the purchase price.
Prior registration is not required for this workshop.
