Community Covenant in Omaha Dedicates Addition

OMAHA, NE (June 8, 2001) - Community Covenant Church in Omaha dedicated an addition of classrooms and offices and a sanctuary expansion project June 3 during the morning worship service.

Funds for the $650,000 project, which began last fall, were raised through a pledge campaign organized by a consultant through the Midwest Conference office, according to pastor Martha Freeman. National Covenant Properties also assisted in the financing.

Worship capacity will increase from 180 seats to nearly 350. The addition of five classrooms and expansion of other rooms will greatly aid the Christian education programs, including Kids 4 Jesus childcare and preschool, which is sponsored by the church and housed in the church building.

Community Covenant Church has an average worship attendance of 280 and has been in existence for 13 years after being parented by First Covenant Church in Omaha. For more information about the church, contact Freeman by telephone at 402-895-7433 or by email at freeman@tconl.com.
