Ohio Woman Named CHIC Administrative Supervisor

CHICAGO, IL (May 9, 2001) - Kirsten Dahlstrom of Faith Covenant Church in Columbus, Ohio, has been hired as the administrative supervisor for the Covenant High in Christ (CHIC) high school event sponsored by the Evangelical Covenant Church.

Dahlstrom works in a marketing capacity for the Longaberger Company in Dresden, Ohio. A resident of Newark, Dahlstrom earned her undergraduate degree from North Park University (then College) in 1991. A three-time attendee at CHIC, she has worked with the Great Lakes Conference in supporting the event.

She will begin her CHIC 2003 duties in September, according to Marti Burger, director of Youth and Family Ministries for the Department of Christian Education and Discipleship, which directs CHIC events. She replaces Dan Dietrich, who helped coordinate last July's CHIC2K event in Knoxville, Tennessee.

With the hiring of Dahlstrom, the 12-member CHIC 2003 Council is complete, said Burger. Noel Becchetti of El Cajon, California, will chair the council. Dahlstrom, Burger and Executive Director Doreen Olson will represent the Department of Christian Education and Discipleship.

Others on the council include Steve Luce, senior designer for the ECC Department of Communication; Ray Whitson, Matt Lundgren, Dale Lusk, Bryan Lamb, Robert Johnson, Michelle Beilby and Kris Causton.

"It's a gift from God," said Burger in reference to the CHIC council. "They're all sincere, they're all humble, they're all very gifted at what they're called to do. And the greatest thing is that they have a love for CHIC. I can tell we're going to have a great team."
