Sanctuary Covenant Holds First Worship Service
SACRAMENTO, CA (March 25, 2001) - Sanctuary Covenant Church held its first weekly service March 18 with 90 in attendance at a local high school, according to Pastor Sean Curtis.Discovery High School is a blessing for Sanctuary Covenant's contemporary worship service, Curtis said. After church, the congregation hosted a community lunch - 60 people participated. A strong core group has made a commitment to the new church, Curtis said, and he is excited about their willingness to bring non-Christian and pre-Christian friends, co-workers and neighbors.
"Our new facility is fantastic for us - we had a strong turnout," he said. "We had a great representation of unbelievers who loved the service and want to come back to explore more. I continue to praise God for the deeply committed people that He keeps bringing to us who have missional hearts and want to serve and help in any way."
