Escalon Congregation Dedicates New Facility
ESCALON, CA (March 5, 2001) - More than 350 enthusiastic members and friends of Escalon Covenant Church gathered Sunday afternoon (March 4) to dedicate a new multi-purpose worship center located on the congregation's new campus, with Pacific Southwest Conference Associate Supt. Wayne C. Carlson leading the service of dedication.
The church decided to relocate in 1994, the same year as the celebration of its 75th anniversary, and purchased 14 acres of land a few blocks from the church's original location.
Four weeks ago, the congregation moved into its new $1.9 million facility containing 16,000 square feet of space. The worship area seats 350 individuals and is the first of four buildings planned for the site. For a look at the exterior and the interior sanctuary areas of the structure, visit Escalon facility.
Brian Wiele, shown in the accompanying photo addressing the congregation Sunday morning, has served as pastor of the congregation for 16 years.
