Director Resigns Church Planting Position

CHICAGO, IL (March 3, 2001) - Joel Kruggel has submitted his resignation as Director of Church Planting-East for the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) Department of Church Growth and Evangelism.

"Due to family considerations, Joel felt it necessary to resign and seek other ministry opportunities," said Gary Walter, executive director of the Department. His last day will be Friday, March 9. "We thank him for what he has given during his time in this role."

Kruggel came to Chicago after having served as senior pastor of Hillside Covenant Church in Walnut Creek, California.
