Annual Meeting Dates Are Clarified

CHICAGO (February 20, 2001) - Registration materials for the 2001 Annual Meeting in June are expected to be sent to local churches and other offices the latter part of March, according to Eric Palmquist, the Annual Meeting coordinator.

Those making travel arrangements will want to note one important date change. The 2001 Annual Meeting will conclude on Saturday, June 30, not on Sunday, July 1, as noted in the Covenant Appointment Calendar and other materials sent earlier in the year.

The Covenant Ministerium will meet Tuesday and Wednesday, June 26 and 27, with the opening worship service taking place on Wednesday evening. Covenant Women Ministries will hold its luncheon at noon on Wednesday.

The concluding worship will be the traditional ordination/installation and commissioning service on Friday evening. The final business session is scheduled to conclude no later than 4 p.m. Saturday.

Current plans call for each of the evening worship services to be "livecast" over the Covenant web site at www.covchurch.org.
