Teachers Needed in Missionary Schools Abroad

CHICAGO (February 16, 2001) - Have you ever thought teaching abroad might be a fascinating experience? Or, perhaps you've desired to use your teaching skills to serve God in a more specific manner?

There are several exciting opportunities awaiting you through the short-term mission program of the Evangelical Covenant Church, teaching the children of missionaries who are serving God in a number of countries around the world.

Ecuador, West Africa, Germany and even Haiti - all offer opportunities to become directly engaged in meaningful ministry, while at the same time supporting an educational service so necessary for these missionaries with families who serve in such far-away places.

Seven Covenant schools for missionary children currently need teachers in virtually every subject area, from teaching English and math to history and geography. The schools are in Quito, Ecuador; Yaounde, Cameroun, West Africa; Kandern, Germany; Tokyo, Japan; Taipei, Taiwan; Port-au-Prince, Haiti; and Prague, Czech Republic.

Those interested in these and other non-teaching opportunities will find a more complete listing under the World Mission portion of the Covenant web site. Select the Departments/Institutions link in the upper left area of the Covenant home page and visit the World Mission site.

More information can also be obtained by contacting Barbara Johnson at the Department of World Mission. She can be reached by telephone at 773-907-3324 or by email at barbarbaWM@covoffice.org.
