Leighton Ford to Present Westerdahl Lecture

CHICAGO, IL (February 4, 2001) - Leighton Ford, noted author and president of Leighton Ford Ministries, will be the featured speaker for North Park Theological Seminary's Westerdahl Lectures February 13.

The free lecture will be presented from 9 a.m. until noon at the seminary's Isaacson Chapel. Ford will speak on Fresh Images of Evangelists, dividing his lecture into three segments.

Ford, who has spoken to millions of people in 40 countries and written 10 books, was vice president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association for 31 years. He was also a regular alternate speaker with Graham, his brother-in-law, on the Hour of Decision, one of the most popular religious broadcasts of its time.

The Carl G. Westerdahl Lectureship in Evangelism began in 1964 through establishment of an endowment fund by the Westerdahl family in memory of the late Reverend Carl G. Westerdahl, noted Covenant preacher and evangelist. The first series of lectures was presented in the winter quarter of 1966.
