Santa Lucia Pageant Set at North Park

CHICAGO (November 30, 2000) - The Swedish Department and Center for Scandinavian Studies at North Park University will sponsor the annual Santa Lucia pageant December 9 in Anderson Chapel.

The 7 p.m. program features Christmas carols, folk tales, special vocal and musical selections and a candlelight presentation of Santa Lucia, who symbolizes the return of light and life to a dark world, according to Swedish tradition.
