Concert Features North Park Music Groups

CHICAGO (November 17, 2000) - Five of North Park University's music groups, including a newly formed hand bell choir, will perform December 3-4 at Anderson Chapel on the university campus, 3225 West Foster Avenue, Chicago.

The university choir, orchestra, Chamber Singers and women's chorus will present the majority of the music for the program, which begins at 7:30 p.m. The School of Music will feature the hand bell choir as the choir ensembles enter the chapel singing Once in Royal David's City.

Choruses from Handel's Messiah, Gloria by Randol Alan Bass and music from Magnificat by Gerald Finzi are also featured at the event, which will cost $5 for general admission. Faculty, staff, non-North Park students and seniors age 65 and older will be charged $3, while North Park students with identification will pay $2.
