Some 400 Celebrate in Mason City (IA)

MASON CITY, IA (November 10, 2000) - Nearly 400 people attended events in First Covenant Church as the congregation celebrated the addition of a multi-purpose ministry wing this past weekend.

Midwest Conference Supt. Ken Carlson spoke at the Sunday worship services and The King's Players from Lynchburg, Virginia, performed dramas at a Saturday night dinner and in worship services. According to pastor Richard Murray, about 175 enjoyed a celebration dinner and another 200 attended Sunday services. Weekend events were featured in the Mason City Globe Gazette.

First Covenant's new 2,000-square-foot ministry wing was the centerpiece of a $360,000 project on the three-acre site. The sanctuary was also remodeled.
