NPU Women's Team Receives Honor

CHICAGO (September 19, 2000) - North Park University's women's basketball team has been named to the 2000 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll Division III by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).

The Honor Roll recognizes the nation's highest NCAA Division I, II, III, Junior /Community College and NAIA team grade point averages for the 1999-2000 season, based on nominations submitted by WBCA-member coaches.

The Vikings, coached by Jack Surridge, were ranked 20th in Division III with a grade point average of 3.384 (on a 4.0 scale). The team compiled a 15-10 record last year.
