Two Lectures Offered October 3
CHICAGO (September 30, 2000) - Noted professor Dr. Rolf P. Knierim will present two lectures October 3 as the second of two sessions in the Nils W. Lund Lectureship at North Park Theological Seminary (NPTS).At 9 a.m. Knierim speaks on Exegesis, Theology, and Hermaneutics of the 'So-called' Old Testament. At 10:45 a.m., his presentation is entitled World Views in the Bible of the Christians.
The lectures will be presented at Isaacson Chapel, 3225 West Foster Avenue, Chicago. They are free and open to the public.
The Lund Lectureship is geared toward current developments in biblical studies and their ministry relationship in today's preaching. It is named in honor of Nils W. Lund, NPTS dean and biblical scholar at from 1922-1954.
Dr. James D.G. Dunn, Lightfoot Professor of Divinity at the University of Durham in England, began the series September 28 with his presentation Still Looking for Jesus.
