CBC Graduates Its Largest Class
STRATHMORE, AB; WINDSOR, CO (June, 1999) - A total of 130 students – the largest graduating class in the 58-year history of Covenant Bible College – were honored during recent commencement exercises at both CBC-Canada and CBC-Midwest campuses.
The commencement for CBC-Canada was the fourth since the Canadian campus relocated to Strathmore, Alberta, with the Midwest campus in Windsor, Colorado, celebrating its first such event.
The mission of Covenant Bible College is to equip men and women to live as disciples of Jesus Christ. This year, 86 students studied at the Canadian campus while 44 completed studies at the Midwest site. Students came from Canada, the United States, Mexico, and Sweden. Students represented 10 of the 11 conferences and regions of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
Covenant Bible College opened its second campus in response to enrollment growth exceeding 400 percent during the past decade. The new campus opened in September 1998 – only 12 months after the expansion decision was made – and was at full capacity its first year.
"This has been a tremendous year in the life of Covenant Bible College," said President Neil Josephson. "With the additional joy of equipping 44 more disciples through CBC-Midwest, you can imagine that we are overwhelmed with gratitude to God and to all those who support the mission of Covenant Bible College."
