Japanese Academy Seeking New Headmaster
TOYKO, JAPAN (March, 1999) - TOYKO - Christian Academy in Japan (CAJ) is seeking a headmaster to begin work July 1, 2000. Christian Academy is a school founded for the education of missionary children.Enrollment is approximately 425 students in grades K-12. The operation also includes a small boarding department. Students, some 60 percent of them the children of missionaries, come from 17 countries. Instruction is in English with an American-style curriculum.
All CAJ staff members must be evangelical Christians who fully subscribe to CAJ's statements of faith and philosophy. Appropriate experience, training, and a proven record of excellence are major selection criteria. Headmaster candidates also must possess excellent communication and "people" skills.
Candidates must have a strong background in Christian education administration and are expected to come as missionaries affiliated with an evangelical mission organization. The academy will contribute partial financial support.
