Women Ministries Annual Project
What prevents a young girl in Congo from realizing her fullest potential? According to Congo Covenant Church President Mossai Sanguma, there are two fundamental reasons: culture and poverty.
The culture limits women’s roles in society; the poverty level forces parents to give priority to their sons. The result? Very few women receive an education through high school. Very few doors of opportunity are opened to them.
The Congo Covenant Church (CEUM) is committed to addressing that disparity. The CEUM invites us to partner with them to “Educate the Girls.”
A six-pronged effort will create:
- Seminars –addressing the cultural disparity,
- Schools – providing a safe environment for women, and
- Scholarships – enabling capable women to realize their potential.
