"Our Legacy" and "The Next Lap"

At Triennial XI, August 2004, Executive Minister Ruth Hill presented two inspiring PowerPoint presentations. "Our Legacy" which gave the history of Women Ministries in the Covenant has been replaced with the new 15 minute DVD "Celebrating the Story - Creating Its Future." presented the reasons for the change from an organization to a ministry to preserve and continue the legacy. This CD is available from the Covenant Resource Center or the Women Ministries Office. For the greatest effectiveness, a computer with an XP operating system is required.

Women's Movie Night

Do the women from your church want to have a movie night? Everyone thinks it is a great idea, but what movies should we show and then what should we discuss afterward? Mmm, it sounds like too much work.

We found a good resource that takes the pressure off of the leaders so they can enjoy the night as well. The book Women's Ministry in the 21 st Century has a section entitled "girls movie nights" that lists 25 movies complete with questions to begin discussion after viewing the movie.
