Coordinators Connection — Enriching Resources for Women

The purpose of GROWTH MINISTRY is to provide local leaders of Women Ministries with resources that encourage outreach and evangelism in order to help advance God's kingdom through women.

Lee Strobel, atheist and former legal editor and investigative journalist at the Chicago Tribune, set out to probe the evidence for the truth of Biblical Christianity. In the process of cross-examining a dozen experts, he became a believer himself. Today this former spiritual skeptic is a teaching pastor at Willow Creek Community Church near Chicago.

We are finding that many young women today are looking for godly mentors to learn from, look up to, and admire. This is true no matter where in her walk of faith she is.

Apples of Gold by Betty Huizenga is a 6 week program whose primary purpose is for older women to nurture younger women in the Word of God, and to encourage them to obey it. It is based on the principles taught in Titus 2:3-5. The title comes from Prov. 25:11, which states: A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.

The secondary purpose of the program is the practical application of cooking skills, relational skills, homemaking skills, and sharing hospitality with others.

Obedience to the Lord brings peace and joy to our lives. It also brings blessings.
