The vision of WOMEN MINISTRIES is to advance God's kingdom through women.

HOW is this vision funded?

Women Ministries is currently the only self-supporting department of the Evangelical Covenant Church.

Beginning solely as Covenant Women Auxiliary in 1916, we have a strong history of auxiliary members funding projects. Adjusting to cultural changes, a central office was formed in 1962 (when we became Covenant Women) and donations funded both projects and leadership for local women ministries. That was supplemented by the addition of the Thank Offering and Friends of Women Ministries.

To this day, the entire department of Women Ministries, which concerns everything from the Office phone bill to promotion of an initiative to advocate for victims of abuse, is still funded by these three primary sources:

Ministry Support - Donations from churches' women ministries

Friends of Women Ministries - Donations from individuals who make a commitment to fund the vision of Women Ministries.
