Churches Planting Ministries is an initiative of the Evangelical Covenant Church designed to encourage and facilitate local congregations engaged in community ministries with the poor and at risk.

The vision of Churches Planting Ministries is to see:
- every congregation planting ministries of compassion and justice,
- every ministry seeking God's transformation for the poor and those at risk, and
- every congregation finding renewal as it reaches out with the love of Christ

Covenant Conferences are prepared to equip local churches to do ministries of compassion and justice in the following ways:
- Give Ministry Development Grants. Matching financial grants are given to new or expanded ministries in churches.
- Provide Process Consultants. Trained consultants visit local churches to help plan, troubleshoot, and strengthen ministries.
- Educate and Resource. Practical tools and curriculum are provided, so that churches in ministry stay connected & informed.

A Chance to Help
The 2003 HELP Offering in the Central, East Coast, Great Lakes, North Pacific, Northwest, Pacific Southwest, and Southeast conferences will go toward Churches Planting Ministries. Funds donated will be matched and given as grants to local churches in those respective conferences engaged in ministries of compassion and justice.
