As the denominational magazine of the Evangelical Covenant Church,
"The Covenant Companion" informs, stimulates thought, and encourages
dialogue on issues that impact the church and its members.
Articles
dealing with Christian life, the church (local, denominational,
and universal), spirituality, contemporary issues impacting the
Christian community, social justice, and outreach ministry are
preferred.
We reserve
the right to edit all submissions to meet our editorial standards.
The average length of articles published in the Companion is 1200
to 1800 words. Material can be submitted by mail or electronically.
Please include the following with your submission:
A cover
letter that includes
- your
complete name, address, and phone number (Fax number and e-mail
address, if available);
- your
vocational background and church affiliation;
- the
title of your submission;
- a
statement of whether you want your submission to be returned.
Your

Keep a complete copy, in case of loss.
- If
possible, send a disk with the paper copy.
A self
addressed, stamped envelope (SASE)
- If
you would like your submission returned, please include sufficient
postage
Payment
is made within sixty days following publication, and includes
three copies of the issue in which the article appears.

accept photographs, color transparencies, slides, and digital images
that reflect a mood or an aspect of society--wealthy/poor, strong/weak,
happy/sad, conflict/peace, etc.--through nature, buildings, designs,
and people. We keep photos and slides on file.
Payment
is made within sixty days following publication, and includes
three complimentary copies of the issue in which the photo appears.
Send
us samples of your work. Make sure that each photo has your
name and address plus and identifying number, otherwise we cannot
take the responsibility for returning it. Please include a complete
list of what you are sending. This will help us keep track
of your photos. From these samples we will choose some to keep
on file and return the rest in the self-addressed, stamped envelope
or box you have provided. In the case of transparencies, you may
send a selection for our viewing. We will indicate those that
we would like to have duplicated for our files.
