Bringing My World to Christ is the Covenant's commitment to friendship evangelism. We believe that normally people encounter Jesus through first encountering friends who already follow Jesus. The four-fold process is simple. It contains the aspects of prayer (identifying and praying by name for specific individuals), care (unique acts of kindness for them), share (when the opportunity arises, helping people hear of Christ's love) and "hang in there" (being a good friend over time even in the seeming absence of spiritual interest). The centerpiece is the prayer element. Members are asked to specifically list a group of individuals they will be praying for to come to a new heart-connected life in Christ. These names are gathered locally, and brought forward to the regional conference annual meeting. They are gathered again from those churches and presented culminating at the Covenant Annual Meeting. Upwards of 300,000 named people are prayed for annually. Nearly 14,000 Covenanters participate in Bringing My World to Christ, praying for people all over the world. Bringing My World to Christ radiates well beyond the Covenant. It has been adopted by Mission America to serve as the pattern for the Lighthouses of Prayer Movement, used by thousands of churches across denominational lines. Other groups have also sought permission to customize the approach for their particular setting.
