Alpha

Alpha is a way of doing friendship evangelism in the context of small group relationships. It is an approach being used across denominational lines. Approximately 100 Covenant churches are involved.

Alpha small groups often meet in homes. A typical evening involves sharing a meal together, a study time examining common questions of people investigating Christ (often using a video tape series available through David C. Cook Publishing), and safe and open conversations around matters of faith exploration. A retreat concludes the Alpha experience.

The strong sense of friendship that develops, coupled with the credible approach to the questions of people exploring faith, gives it a unique place among outreach tools.

• How Can I Resist Evil?
• Why and How Should We Tell Others?

• How Can I Make the Most of the Rest of My Life?
