Thank you for your interest in serving in the Evangelical Covenant Church and entering the Covenant External Orientation Program. We are excited to offer the Covenant External Orientation Program to those persons who are called to serve in the Covenant but, because of life circumstances, are unable to attend the traditional year of orientation studies at North Park Theological Seminary. The Covenant External Orientation Program, in addition to meeting the orientation requirement set by the Board of the Ordered Ministry, seeks to increase the student's knowledge and appreciation of Covenant distinctives and heritage. The Covenant External Orientation Program was designed to connect you more fully to the Covenant fellowship and enhance your future years of fruitful ministry in the Covenant context. The program, which has been designed for completion in a minimum of three and maximum six years, can be accomplished in the course of normal ministry. It consists of three major components: Component
1: Orientation Studies, For people for whom English is a second language, or who prefer Spanish (CHET), as well as for native Alaskan pastors and Canadian residents, separate orientation programs exist. Call or email for details. If you have further questions about the Covenant External Orientation Program, please call or email Peter M. Norland or Christine M. Olfelt, the Administrative Assistant for Covenant External Orientation at 1-888-COV-PROG or ceop@covchurch.org.
