Component 2: Covenant Life Experiences
The second component
to the Covenant External Orientation Program consists of Covenant Life Experiences.
This requirement is designed to immerse the student in the life of the greater
Covenant church. Each year, events like the Midwinter Conference and the Annual
Meeting, in addition to functioning as business meetings, act as important
times for renewing and developing relationships with other Covenanters. Each
regional conference also has ministerium retreats and its own annual meeting.
At these times, the corporate church comes together for worship and for work.
Requirements
Covenant External Orientation Program students need to participate in
at least six Covenant Life Experiences. These experiences may occur any
time during one's enrollment. In addition, credit may be given for experiences
within three years prior to application. Students may use up to three
repetitions of experiences toward fulfillment of the six. Three experiences
are specifically required and three may be chosen in accordance with the
student's interests and ministry needs from the list of elective experiences.
Required
Experiences
Attendance at these three experiences is required because of their high value
in orienting the student to the Covenant Life.

taken

Receiving
Credit
After completing a Covenant Life Experience, students are responsible
to contact the Administrative Assistant for Covenant External Orientation
to report their progress. Periodically, the CEOP will send a student progress
report to each student. The report will include all the Covenant Life
Experiences recorded. Students then make additions and/or corrections
and return to the CEOP. The CEOP may require some proof of attendance
before granting credit, e.g., an Annual Meeting name tag.
