Welcome to your online resource for news and information on the 121st Covenant Annual Meeting in Grand Rapids in 2006.

On behalf of the Evangelical Covenant Church, it is my joy and privilege to invite you to the 121st Covenant Annual Meeting, to be held June 14-17 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This is the first time the Annual Meeting has been in Grand Rapids in recent memory, and we are looking forward to it. Our theme will be “Everyone to Everywhere,” based on Acts 1:8, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

The Annual Meeting is “the Congress of the Covenant.” The highest authority in the Covenant has always been the local churches, as their representatives meet together once a year. We come together to ordain ministers, consecrate missionaries, elect leaders, review finances, adopt a budget, and take care of other business as needed.
We also come together for worship and fellowship. The Covenant Church is a rapidly growing, widely diverse family, and it is good to spend time together every year. There are few experiences in my life that can compare to the sound of hundreds of Covenanters packed into a vast meeting room, singing together in praise and prayer to God.

Every year I look forward to seeing old friends, and every year I discover new ones. The God-given richness of the Covenant is in its people—old-timers and new-comers, from east and west, from cities and farms, of many different backgrounds and cultures. I hope the people of your church will be represented as we gather this year. And may God bless you as you serve him in your own place.
