As Superintendent I serve as Pastor and Chief Executive Minister/Officer of the Central Conference. Full time service is devoted to supervising and promoting the work of the Central Conference. My responsibilities include providing leadership in the areas of mission, pastoral care, congregational support, executive operation, and supervision of all staff and Conference employees. Stewardship always gives witness to the wonder and greatness of God.

Stewardship is a measurable and tangible use of all the blessings God has given us.

My primary responsibility is to advance the stewardship of the Central Conference.  I believe the foundation of good stewardship rests with individuals, strengthening the front lines of ministry in the local church.  When Central Conference local churches are strong, we have a strong conference.  I will do everything possible to help local churches advance their ministry in order that the proclamation of the gospel and the work of the Kingdom will grow.

Peter brings with him 30 years of experience in evangelism and church renewal. Peter continues to work part time for the Chicago Urban Reconciliation Enterprise, a consulting organization offering training and strategic planning for various church initiatives. Formally he was the city director of Metro Chicago Youth for Christ. Peter also served in various capacities for Circle Church, a church which pioneered church renewal through the early 70's. His vision for church revitalization is based in healthy churches showing forth the hope of God’s Kingdom to a hurting world.

During the past eight years, it has been my pleasure to work under three fine treasurers, providing them with timely financial information.  Responsibility for Conference accounting includes contact with the staff and pastors of Conference churches as well as departments at Covenant headquarters, plus coordinating insurance participation records, Covenanter addresses, etc.  One of a two-person support staff, I admit that an "I will" attitude, a self-starting nature, and the "etc." keeps this position above total routine.  Discoveries never cease.  Bill the Bookkeeper is on the web!  (Eccl 3:10).  Click here to email Bill.
