North Park Covenant Church Preschool Seeks New Teacher/Director

Chicago, IL (November 13, 2008) - The North Park Covenant Church Preschool at 5250 N. Chicago, IL (November 3, 2008) - A new book by historian Stephen Graham on the history of North Park Covenant Church provides a case study for how local congregations across the country developed amid the theological and social changes in the 20th century. Youth Challenged: Do the Work of Reconcilliation

Miami, FL (October 30, 2008) -- Phil Jackson, pastor of The House Covenant Church in Chicago, let the first National Student Leadership Intensive (NSLI) at the Christian Community Development Association (CCDA) annual meeting held in Miami last week.  Rev. Jackson spoke along with Rev. Soong-Chan Rah, assistant professor of church growth and evangelism at North Park Theological Seminary.  Click here to read the full story.

Support Group for Abused Women Facilitated by the Covenant Church of Schaumburg

Schaumburg, IL (October 6, 2008) --  The Covenant Church of Schaumburg announces a support group for abused women starting October 16, 2008.  The church's mission is to make a difference in women's lives by providing empathy, compassion, and encouragement to victims of abuse.  Through instruction, participants will explore misunderstandings of the Bible that may contribute to a woman staying in abusive situations, and rely on the truth of the Bible to understand women's self-worth, value, and dignity.  More information about the support group is available by calling the Dawn Price, AVA Regional Coordinator at 847-605-8334.
